Robert C. Ruckh
Robert Ruckh is one of the more experienced Transaction Advisory Services partners in Ernst & Young’s New York office.
He has over 27 years of experience, with the last 15 working exclusively in the transaction space principally with private equity fund clients. Mr. Ruckh joined EY in 2002 following nearly 20 years at Arthur Andersen in audit and transactions practices. Primary Private Equity clients include Lindsay Goldberg, CCMP Capital, Cerberus and Onex. He has also worked on several other client teams and PE consortiums leading complex transactions. Corporate clients include General Electric. Transaction specific experience includes the following industries – industrial and consumer products and services, distribution businesses, healthcare, service businesses and technology. In addition to direct platform investments made by private equity clients, Mr. Ruckh has also worked with the management teams of many portfolio companies in completing bolt-on acquisition projects. Has participated in diligence projects in over 15 countries including a secondment in Norway. Mr. Ruckh has extensive experience with SEC securities offerings and 144A private placements of both US and non-US companies.Additionally, Mr. Ruckh has provided assistance in several purchase price arbitrations.
Before joining E&Y, Mr. Ruckh helped start Andersen’s Transaction Advisory Services practice. This practice was formed in 1994 to provide due diligence and other integrated merger and acquisition services to private equity fund clients and strategic acquirers. Prior to that, Mr. Ruckh worked in Andersen’s audit practice for 12 years, serving a number of Global 1000 and other multinational clients. Mr. Ruckh is a member of the TAS Operating Committee which has management and oversight responsibility for the TAS practice. Additionally, he has certain leadership responsibilities over a segment of our private equity client base
Mr. Ruckh graduated in 1982 with a B.S. in Accounting from Fordham University and is a former Member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Fordham University Schools of Business. He has resided in Pound Ridge, New York since 2001 with wife Shari and daughter Amelia.
