EFT Core Skills Training

Four, two-day workshops offer an in-depth opportunity to develop the core skills essential to the practice of EFT. Each workshop includes instruction, role play, observation of a live interview, and consultation. Participants will present their own work, including an audio or video tape segment of a session, in order to complete the course. Participants must commit to attending all four workshops upon registration, and may apply this training toward EFT certification.

Session 1:   Steps 1–2, Assessment with Elana Katz

Session 2:   Steps 3–4, Cycle De-escalation with George Faller

Session 3:  Steps 5–7, Withdrawer Re-engagement with Elana Katz and George Faller

Session 4:  Steps 5–7,  Pursuer Softening with Elana Katz and George Faller

Dates: 4 sessions: September 7 and 8, November 9 and 10, December 14 and 15, 2017; January 25 and 26, 2018
Times: Thursdays, from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m
Tuition: $1,700 through August 4, 2017. Tuition after August 4th: $1,750
Faculty: George Faller, LMFT, Certified EFT Trainer, and Elana Katz, LCSW, Certified EFT Trainer
Prerequisite: The completion of an EFT externship



The Ackerman Institute for the Family SW CPE is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0052.

This program has been approved for Continuing Education Credit Hours by the National Association of Social Workers, CT and meets the continuing education criteria for CT Social Work Licensure renewal.
