Tuition Payment Policy
Students are required to pay tuition in full to the Ackerman Institute prior to beginning their course.
The Ackerman Institute does not provide refunds for Summer Clinical Practicum, Live Clinical Supervision, and the Clinical Externship programs. If a student withdraws from a class, except for the above classes, at least three weeks before the first class date an administrative fee of 20% will be deducted from the tuition refund. Full refunds for tuition deposits and balances are made only if a class is cancelled.
If a student withdraws from a workshop at least two weeks before the workshop date, an administrative fee of 20% will be deducted from the refund. After that date, a credit for a future workshop will be issued, to be used within one year. Full refunds are made only if a workshop is cancelled.
A limited number of partial scholarships are available through the Institute. These scholarships are awarded based on a student’s demonstrated financial need and commitment to working in a community agency.
