Tuition Payment Policy
Trainees are required to pay tuition in full to the Ackerman Institute prior to beginning their course.
Core Curriculum Courses: Foundations of Family Therapy, Live Clinical Supervision, Dual Program, and Clinical Externship in Family Therapy
Full refunds for tuition deposits, balances and application fees will occur only if a course is canceled. If a trainee withdraws from a course 3 weeks before the first class date an administrative fee of 25% will be deducted from the tuition refund. Withdrawals and requests for refunds must be made in writing to the Director of Training, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Workshops and Short Courses
All refund requests should be made in writing or by email at least two weeks prior to the workshop or short course. Any refund requests made after such time will not be honored. Should a participant need to cancel, there are two options for a refund:
- Option 1: Tuition will be refunded, minus a 20% administrative fee.
- Option 2: A credit for a future workshop and/or short-course will be issued and expires within one year of the date issued. If such credit is not used within that time, tuition is forfeited.
