Marissa Moore, LMHC
Marissa Moore, LMHC, is a graduate of Ackerman’s clinical externship program and currently a teaching fellow in the foundations course at the Institute, as well as a member of The JUSTICE PROJECT. She has extensive experience working in community-based settings with various populations. Past work involved offering home based crisis intervention services to young adults in Brooklyn, individual and group therapy to adults living with HIV and family therapy to immigrant families in the child welfare system. Ms. Moore maintains a private practice in Brooklyn working with individuals, couples and families. She is interested in meditation and mindfulness and regularly incorporates these practices into her work.
