Diana Benzaquen
Diana Tawgin-Benzaquen, Co-Chair of the Tribute to Families Gala, is a Vice President and Director at Brown Harris Stevens. For more than 130 years, Brown Harris Stevens has been a leader in sales, rentals, management, appraisals and corporate relocation services at the top end of the New York residential market. On her company’s website, it is noted that “If there's a single quality that characterizes Diana Tawgin-Benzaquen's approach to work, it is her wholehearted commitment.” Diana’s ability to commit completely is also evident in her work at the Ackerman Institute. Since joining the board of Directors in 2008, Diana has been thoughtful, caring, generous and completely dedicated to helping Ackerman strengthen its programs and services, especially in these difficult times.
Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Diana moved to the United States after a career in modeling in South Africa and Europe. A co-founder of Bumble and Bumble, the well-known hair product company, Diana changed careers, entering real estate as a broker in 1998.
Diana is the mother of two daughters, both of whom also live in New York. She and her husband, Norman Benzaquen, have homes in Manhattan, East Hampton, New York, and Palm Beach, Florida.
