Jeannie Ackerman Curhan
Jeannie’s father, Dr. Nathan W. Ackerman, was the Founder of the Ackerman Institute for the Family. She has served as a Board Member for the past ten years, replacing her Mother, Gwendolyn Ackerman (Mrs. Nathan W. Ackerman) who resigned from the Board due to ill health. A graduate of the Simmons College School of Publications, she has worked in the advertising field, owned her own mail order business and gift boutique. She and her husband are supporters of and volunteers at the Boston Lyric Opera Company. Jeannie is the mother of two sons, three step-daughters and she and her husband have eleven grandchildren!! As Dr.Ackerman’s daughter and as a Member of the Ackerman Board of Directors, Jeannie represents a link of personal continuity with Dr. Ackerman and his caring for the Family of Man.
