Aquilla Frederick, MBA, LCSW

A graduate of New York University and the Ackerman Institute Externship Program, Aquilla Frederick, MBA, LCSW, is a faculty member at the Institute, a member of the Community Training in Family Therapy at APT., and a member of Ackerman’s Mentoring Group. Ms. Frederick is a staff Psychiatric Social Worker/Family Therapist for HIP Manhattan Mental Health Center. She works extensively with individuals, couples, families with both acute and chronic psychological problems, and facilitates adolescent and women's trauma groups. In the past, she has provided family and group therapy for multi-problem families of color at a community-based preventive agency.

Ms. Frederick is an associate producer for Frontiers Psychotherapy TV, a weekly cable TV program. She hosts and produces shows focusing on diverse issues and modalities in psychotherapy; and has presented at the Psychotherapy Networker Symposium and at local agencies and organizations.

Ms. Frederick maintains a private practice in New York City and Brooklyn.
