Dee Watts-Jones, PhD

Dee Watts-Jones, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist, and a faculty member of the Ackerman Institute for the Family. Dr. Watts-Jones received her PhD from Duke University, and her family therapy training at the Family Institute of Westchester, where she was a teaching fellow. She was an American Psychological Association Minority Fellow, and an American Association of University Women Fellow.

Currently, in addition to her Ackerman affiliation, Dr. Watts-Jones is an adjunct faculty member at the Family Institute of Westchester, and a Psychologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University School of Public Health, in one of their school-based clinics located in the Harlem community.

She has published several articles on treatment issues in working with families of African descent, in journals that include: Social Work, Psychology of Women Quarterly and Family Process.
