Money has complex significance for couples and families no matter what their financial status may be. It also has
been a difficult subject to talk about in clinical situations. Both patients and therapists often have difficulty
discussing money issues, and this can be confounded if therapists lack confidence in their ability to ask the right
questions. This interactive, case-based session examines the role of money in families, outlines financial basics for
therapists, and presents collaboration scenarios with other experts when confronting issues in financially complex families.
