Recognizing Indigenous Peoples Day

Today on Indigenous People’s Day, we honor and celebrate the achievements and incalculable contributions of Native Americans as well as their ancestral ties in the United States. Their cultures enrich the world.

The Ackerman Institute for the Family also calls attention to the grievous history of their treatment by colonizers in the United States and its’ implications on their psychological and relational health. We affirm our commitment to advancing the rights of Native American families, and supporting their struggles for justice and well-being.
