Alessandra Sabbatini, LCSW, is an Ackerman Teaching Fellow for the 2019-2020 academic year. Alessandra moved to New York City in 2009 after having lived and worked in England and France, leaving behind the world of business and human resources to pursue her passion for the human condition. In 2014, she completed her Master’s in Social Work at New York University where she developed her interest in child development and in family therapy. Later, she trained at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR), where she graduated in 2017 as a Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist.
In 2018, she completed her training in the Ackerman Institute’s Clinical Externship in Family Therapy Program. Before becoming a teaching fellow at Ackerman, Alessandra provided mental health services at the IPTAR clinical center, at New York public schools, and worked as a Clinic Associate at the Ackerman Institute. Alessandra holds an MA from the University of Modern Languages of Milan and an MBA from the Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris.
