Dr. Forogh Rahim, LMFT, is co-teaching the Ackerman Institute’s Person of the Therapist Seminar. Dr. Rahim has a decade of experience working with individuals, couples, and families who hold multiple marginalized identities. In her work, she is committed to de-centering Whiteness and works from a trauma-informed, intersectional, feminist, and decolonial framework to co-create opportunities for healing. She identifies as queer, femme, Muslim, and Afghan refugee.
Dr. Rahim manages a private practice and works at the Therapy Center of Philadelphia offering low-cost therapeutic services to women and LGBTQIA+ communities. Additionally, Dr. Rahim is an adjunct faculty member at Drexel University.
