Clinic Therapist, Latinx Youth and Family Immigration Project

Mario Ismael Espinoza, LCSW (they/them) is a Mexican immigrant who transitioned to the field of mental health after 12 years in professional concert dance. Mario graduated from NYU Silver School of Social Work and completed the Ackerman Institute’s Social Work & Diversity Program in 2019, under the supervision of Sippio Small and Laurie Kaplan.
Currently a social worker with Entertainment Community Fund, Mario provides mental health services and clinical case management for entertainment industry professionals. Mario’s clinical focus is derived from a deep commitment to social justice and mental health, which gives rise to an anti-oppressive approach to delivery of clinical services.
