Specifically, it addresses area C, “Theory and methods of approach to intervention in relationship systems experiencing sex and intimacy problems.” This course focuses on the use of EFTC, an evidenced-based practice model, in working with couples experiencing intimacy and sexuality issues. An overview of the EFTC model will be presented including assessment, de-escalation, restructuring and consolidation along with a parallel track for integrating sex therapy concepts and clinical strategies within the EFTC treatment.
