Our online workshops for mental health professionals explore a range of innovative topics in couple and family therapy. To attend, all you need is a laptop or mobile device. You will receive a link in your email one day before the event. Workshops are presented live and will not be recorded.

Continuing education contact hours / CEUs are available for mental health practitioners who hold LCSW, LMSW, or LMFT licensure in New York State.

FAQs: Attending an Ackerman Workshop

A link to attend the workshop via Zoom will be emailed to you one day in advance of the training. Please check your spam and filtered folders for this message before contacting us.

If you have not received a link by the day of the training, please contact Melissa Tandy, Community & International Training Assistant: mtandy@ackerman.org.

Ackerman staff are not able to respond to your technical inquiry.

Ackerman workshops are not recorded. Due to federal HIPAA regulations, unauthorized recording of clinical material is not permitted.

Ackerman Institute trainings are intended for qualified mental health professionals only, unless otherwise noted. Eligible attendees must be trained in mental health, and currently employed in the field of social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, psychology, or another mental health profession. If you have questions about your eligibility to attend an Ackerman training, please contact: Helen Park: hpark@ackerman.org.

Full refunds are issued only if a training is canceled by the Ackerman Institute. For partial refund of an Ackerman training, registrants must withdraw at least 20 business days in advance of the training start date. Trainings under this policy include, but not are not limited to: Workshops, Short Courses, Core Courses, and EFT Training.

We do not transfer payments of any kind. To request a refund per the above policy, please contact Melissa Tandy, Community & International Training Assistant: mtandy@ackerman.org.

Participants must attend the full duration of a workshop to be eligible for full CE Contact Hours. As proof of attendance, trainees must complete and sign an evaluation form in person at the conclusion of the training. Per the NY State of Education, we do not provide credit for partial attendance.

Mental health practitioners who hold LCSW, LMSW, or LMFT licensure in New York State are eligible to earn CE Contact Hours (CEUs). Please check with your license provider to confirm eligibility.

You must attend the full duration of a training to be eligible for CE contact hours. Registrants will complete an evaluation form at the conclusion of the training to verify attendance.

Eligible participants will receive CE Contact Hours via email within 5-10 business days. Certificates of completion are distributed via email only. To ensure prompt delivery, please add training@ackerman.org to your email contact list.

Ackerman does not offer student or professional discounts.

Tuition discounts are only available to trainees currently enrolled in the Core Curriculum and to alumni of Ackerman’s clinical externship.
