Join us for Ackerman’s new free webinar series for parents and caregivers. Created by family therapy experts, these webinars are designed to help parents and caregivers to support their child’s mental health across a diverse range of subjects. Webinars are free to attend and will be held online via Zoom.
During this webinar we will uncover the preciousness of the love between the child and the important adults in their lives. Parents and caregivers will learn to identify some of the internal and external factors that turn that loving bond into a hopeless battleground and explore some strategies and practices that can help to re-ground and re-connect. Is it possible to continue to love ourselves and our child in the midst of our messy, imperfect lives?
Sabina Fila, LCSW is a mother and grandmother, a psychotherapist and a consultant. Over the last thirty years she has accompanied a wide range of individuals and families. It has taught her humility, the beauty and suffering of human life, and that the most important task for her as a therapist is to reconnect the person to themselves, and to the people they love. She is affiliated with the Ackerman Institute, and with several non-profit organizations locally and internationally, and practices mindfulness-centered somatic psychotherapy (http://hakomiinstitute.com).
