Many parents and caregivers love their children deeply but find parenting itself to be profoundly challenging. Between our own hopes and fears, differing temperaments, social expectations, financial stressors, and systemic inequities, the daily reality of parenting can feel overwhelming.
In this 90-minute webinar, we will explore how mindfulness can support us through the complexities of caregiving. We’ll introduce the core principles of mindful parenting, examine common day-to-day challenges, and offer simple tools to help you stay grounded. Rather than striving for perfection, we aim for awareness to notice our internal states, return to a place of clarity, and respond with intention instead of reactivity.
When we approach parenting with presence and compassion, we not only care for ourselves—we create space for our children to make sense of their own experiences and grow with confidence.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will learn to define mindfulness and to understand its potential benefits
- Participants will identify fears, stressors, and beliefs that interfere in their day-to-day parenting journeys
- Participants will be able to name three resources and understand how they can use them in challenging situations
Who Should Attend:
Mental health professionals, parents, and caregivers
*Only licensed mental health professionals are eligible for continuing education credits
