Join us for Ackerman’s new free webinar series for parents and caregivers. Created by family therapy experts, these webinars are designed to help parents and caregivers to support their child’s mental health across a diverse range of subjects. Webinars are free to attend and will be held online via Zoom.


Program Description:

This webinar will help parents feel more confident and competent to handle everyday stress as well as chronic challenges that affect family life and family relationships. The topics will include mitigating risk and strengthening support, coping and problem solving skills. Parents will learn specific strategies to promote parent and child self-regulation, the most important quality for a peaceful home.

Presenters:

Judy Grossman, DrPH, OTR, is the Associate Director of the Center for the Developing Child and Family and the Director of the Children with Special Needs Project at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. She is also an adjunct faculty member at NYU and consultant to community agencies. Her publications and professional presentations focus on family resilience, parenting, mental health consultation, and special education policy and programs. She maintains a private practice in New York and Connecticut.
