❗Required before attending Introduction to the Ackerman Relational Approach – Module 1
Before beginning the Core Curriculum, all incoming trainees are required to attend a Core Curriculum Orientation session. This virtual, 30-minute session will introduce you to your program track, your cohort, and the Institute — and is a required step before attending Introduction to the Ackerman Relational Approach (ARA) – Module 1. (Please note, Seminar students are not required to take ARA workshops.)
Orientation is organized by program track, so you’ll be grouped with the peers who are starting the same path alongside you: Seminar, Live Clinical or Clinical Externship.
The session will be interactive, with an invitation to be on video throughout. You’ll hear directly from the VP of Training & Student Life, take part in discussion to meet your fellow incoming trainees, and have space for open questions before your first day.
By the end of this session, you will:
- Understand the structure, key dates, and expectations for your program track
- Meet fellow incoming trainees in your track
- Have a direct line to ask questions and connect with the VP of Training & Student Life

You only need to attend one session for your track.
