Core Curriculum Financial Policies
The Ackerman Institute for the Family is committed to providing the highest standard of education and service to our trainees. Your complete understanding of your financial responsibilities is an essential part of your Core Curriculum training.

- We accept American Express, Mastercard, and Visa. Cash and checks are not accepted methods of payment
Monthly Payment Plan
The Ackerman Institute offers core curriculum trainees a nine-month interest-free payment plan.
There is an annual $75.00 non-refundable fee to enroll. Your total tuition will be divided equally into nine monthly installments. An automatic charge will be placed on your credit card on the 1st of every month beginning August 2019 and ending April 2020.
A $25.00 late fee will be charged each time a payment is denied by your credit card.
Late Enrollment and Acceptance
For any applicants accepted after August 1st, a $500 tuition deposit is expected on the day of acceptance. Full tuition or first payment of the enrollment payment plan will be due within 5 business days of acceptance. Financial aid will no longer available for the 2019-2020 academic year.
Need-based financial aid is available on a first-come, first-serve basis for Foundations of Family Therapy, Live Clinical Supervision, the Dual Program, and the Clinical Externship. The deadline to apply for financial aid for the 2019-2020 training year was June 30th, 2019.

Ackerman Institute Core Curriculum trainings are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Full refunds are issued only if a training is canceled by the Ackerman Institute. For partial refund of an Ackerman Workshop or Course, registrants must withdraw at least 20 business days in advance of the training start date. Trainings under this policy include, but not are not limited to: Workshops, Short Courses, Summer Practicum, Divorce Mediation, and EFT Training. A 25% administrative fee is deducted from all refunds.
