Core Curriculum Financial Policies
The Ackerman Institute for the Family is committed to providing the highest standard of education and service to our trainees. Your complete understanding of your financial responsibilities is an essential part of your Core Curriculum training.
- Core Course tuition is due by July 1, 2021 using this link: Pay Tuition Online
- A first payment deposit of $1000.00 is due by June 15, 2021.
- Payment made after the deadline is subjected to a $25 late fee.
- We accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa, and PayPal. Cash and checks are not accepted.
Monthly Payment Plan:
The Ackerman Institute offers core curriculum trainees a nine-month interest-free payment plan.
There is an annual $100.00 non-refundable fee to enroll. Your total tuition will be divided equally into nine monthly installments. An automatic charge will be placed on your credit card on the 1st of every month beginning August 2021 and ending April 2022. The first monthly payment is due August 1, 2021.
A $25.00 late fee will be charged each time a payment is denied by your credit card.
The deadline to enroll in the monthly payment plan is July 1, 2021.
Late Enrollment and Acceptance:
For any applicants accepted after August 1st, a $1000 tuition deposit is expected on the day of acceptance. Full tuition or first payment of the enrollment payment plan will be due within 5 business days of acceptance.
A limited amount of need-based financial aid is available for Foundations of Family Therapy, Live Clinical Supervision, the Dual Program, and the Clinical Externship. Applicants must submit financial documentation and a personal essay. The deadline to apply for financial aid for the 2021-2022 training year was May 1st, 2021.
Ackerman Institute Core Curriculum trainings are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Full refunds are issued only if a training is canceled by the Ackerman Institute. For partial refund of an Ackerman Workshop or Course, registrants must withdraw at least 20 business days in advance of the training start date. Trainings under this policy include, but not are not limited to: Workshops, Short Courses, Summer Practicum, Divorce Mediation, and EFT Training. A 25% administrative fee is deducted from all refunds. Withdrawal refunds exclude the $1000.00 deposit.
About Tuition Fees
The Ackerman Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on donors and earned revenue to work toward our mission. The full expense of training an Ackerman therapist is subsidized by the generosity of our donors. Your tuition fees cover only a small portion of this expense.
