
Jennifer Libert, LLB, LCSW, is faculty at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, where she also completed advanced postgraduate training in couples and family therapy. She earned her master’s degree in social work from New York University, where she was a fellow at NYU’s Adaptive Leadership Institute, promoting organizational and community change. She also holds a degree in history from Princeton University.
Before beginning her career in clinical therapy, Jennifer studied law in the United Kingdom and worked in law and banking. She has lived and worked across multiple countries and cultural contexts, including in Senegal, where she pursued African and French studies at the University of Dakar.
In addition to her family therapy training at Ackerman, Jennifer trained and worked as a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) practitioner and skills instructor in a New York City psychiatric outpatient clinic, supporting adolescents, adults, and their families.
Jennifer approaches therapy with a strengths-based, culturally responsive lens. She maintains a private practice in New York City, where she lives with her husband and two children.
